He has appended an interesting note to an entry of a baptism in 1733, that of James, son of Andrew Brody of Skateraw: "This James Brodie is probably the great-grandfather of Old Margaret Lees now alive in Stonehaven 1912. He married Kirsty Falconar from Johnshaven (or Christina) who lived till she was 103. Their daughter Margaret Brodie married Peter Christie at Skateraw and these latter had a child Kirsty Christie who married Alexander Lees and became the parents of Old Margaret." Elsewhere he says: "Old Margaret Lees, aged about 80, informed me that her grandmother Jean Stephen or Steven was baptised by Mr Troup from the Jail...
