Childcare
In February 1992 the first sod of the centre was turned. First a day nursery for babies, toddlers, and bigger children was built. Surgeries for a woman doctor and a dentist were also set up in the day nursery.

started early to search for an alternative environment to the detrimental dump for the children.
She put focus on the children.

Both a department for newborn babies and a kindergarten were created to offer a better place for the children to stay at while the mothers were working at the dump.

The rooms have been designed after the children’s needs. Adapted
cabin, washing basins, mirrors and toilets for the children just like in a modern nursery.
The activities shall help the children in their development and strengthen their self-respect. Every year excursions take place to interesting places, for the children to explore.
